Northwood CC is an ambitious, well established and family orientated cricket club, who have been playing at our Ducks Hill Road ground for over 130 years. With state of the art nets and practice facilities, including a bowling machine, and as of 2015 a newly laid square, with more planned improvements to the playing area over the next few years NCC is looking positively into the future. We have 3 Saturday league XI's playing in the Saracens Hertfordshire League Divisions 1 (promoted in 2015 season), 6A and 10B respectively as well as a Sunday Friendly XI. We can also boast many other sporting events at NCC including a renowned Cricket Week in July, a bi-annual match against the MCC, a tour and six-a-side tournament in August. With some of the best teas in the area and a great social scene throughout the year Northwood CC is the place to be.
The Bar and Social activities remains key to this family club, that embraces new members and strongly encourages the camaraderie of all the sides late into the evening every Saturday and Sunday after matches.
Rather like England, a quality spinner, a good opener, solid middle order or a strike bowler, would never go amiss, but equally the cricketer who just wants to enjoys themselves would be welcome. The club even has a quality female player playing in the league teams, proving further that this is truly all inclusive.
Northwood CC also have a growing Colts section which has teams entered in the Middlesex County League including U10a, U10b, U11, U12 & U13.
We are currently actively seeking new Junior and Adult cricketers of all standards
for the 2016 season. Anyone interested in playing, whether at 1st team level or just for the social aspect, should contact Nick Nicholson on 07985 386606 or use the contact page of this website. Anyone interested in joining our youth section should contact Ian Keys (firstname.lastname@example.org).
New scorers, umpires and supporters are always welcome at Northwood CC.
