Match report U13 Cup Northwood 78-4 (16 overs) Bessborough 101-2 (16 overs)

This was a game where we learnt that against better, top division opposition, switching off for 20 minutes can be fatal. In this case it was the first 20 minutes of the game where bowling, fielding and energy were all below par. After that we fought back with Manav Khindri the outstanding bowler. Bessborough did not permit such liberties at the start of our innings and despite the best efforts of James Kenny (retiring at 30 in line with the competition rules) we had left ourselves too much to do. The lesson is that for 80% of the game we did compete, and we need to take encouragement from that.
