An evening of calypso cricket on a beautiful sun-kissed evening at NCC in front of a reasonable crowd – doesn’t get much better

Ben and captain for day Charlie started well until the impressive Shayen removed Ben. After the fall of Manav, the innings could have gone either way but Charlie and Kabir suddenly went from 2nd gear to 5th with 4 sixes, albeit some to the very short netside boundary. A massive 129 came off the last 10 overs – ridiculous. Charlie was the star of the show, with some sumptuous shots for 85*. Maybe Ross should have come and watched 6 weeks ago J Kabir found confidence to express himself too with 47*, although claimed he only hit a 6 because he lost the ball in the sun……

Tyler was excellent at the start of the reply, but HSM opener Dan hit some lusty blows although was playing a lone hand, and regularly running out his partners. Young Chirayu, scouted from the u13, was fantastic taking 2 wickets and causing mainman Dan the most problems. Gurman returned with some newfound Yorkers in a very impressive second spell to get 4 wktsWe must take this aggressive confident cricket into the last game against probable champions Harrow. The boys have massive potential but the time is now!
