SKLP v Northwood Cricket Club Under 10A on Sun 26 Apr 2015 at 10.00
Northwood Cricket Club Lost

Match report Northwood's new under 10A team travelled away to Greenford to take on SKLP in the pairs 200+ runs game. Northwood were asked to bat first and as it often is the case, the extras came out on top. Almost all Northwood players got off the mark and Skipper Tyler Pearce managing to do live up to his reputation by getting injured on the last ball of the innings. Thanks to Rob Smith our team cardiologist and Mrs Smith for being there to assist with the situation and getting Tyler back on the pitch!

We then swapped round and Northwood's bowling was tight. We gave away less wides but they scored more runs off the bat. Our fielding was good with Nayan and Rahy coming out with a couple of direct hits. Dead Eyed Nayan was particularly on form. Unfortunately the wet ball did not help and we gave away just too many runs. We only lost by 6 runs which is one wicket less and one piece of backing up!!!

It was a great start to the season but better ground fielding and backing up rather than dozing off (Nabil and Dylan) and we might have won. Fielding practice on Friday again I think.

Some of you have development coaching on Sunday at 11. Please make the most of this. It is an important opportunity to learn away from the rest of the team and should be taken very seriously. I hope you all take up the chance to do this.

See you Friday!
