A friendly gave us a chance to give batting and bowling opportunities to those who needed them. Despite one or two glimpses, we weren’t at our best and Hayes were deserved winners, getting revenge for NCC league win the previous win.

Kabir was the only real bright light with the bat, falling just short of his 50 with minor contributions from Sabarish, James & Jashan. Tyler started well with the ball taking 2 wickets, and while Sab James and Gurman captured a wicket apiece, it was not enough.

We are deliberately playing good sides rather than ‘fill your boots’ opposition, but we do need to be right up for it each time
