Match report U15 League Northwood U15b 89-9 (20) lost to Harrow St Marys U15b 90-2 (13.5) by 8 wickets

Northwood won the toss and elected to bat.

Unfortunately this was not a day for the batsman. Of our 89 runs, 49 were gifted as extras, meaning we only got 40 off the bat. With the extras, there was effectively 5 extra overs, meaning we faced a total of ~150 balls. 114 of those were dot balls. Every week we discuss the need to call better & louder and run quicker between the wickets, yet we still don’t look to put the fielders under pressure. We seem to stroll for the one rather than sprint for the one looking for the two, etc. WE also need to push for the singles and rotate strike more. We must take note and do better.

In the field we bowled and fielded well however, having only taken two wickets, Harry St Marys reached their target after 13.5 overs.

Let’s look to get the performance levels improved for next time and learn from the mistakes.
