Match report U15 League Northwood U15b 136-4 (20) lost to OMT CC U15b 137-4 (19) by 6 wickets

Jashan (66) and Aarav (10) opened the batting and with stable scoring and rotating the strike often. However Aarav was undone by a nick to the keeper. Sabarish (35) then came in and along with Jashan (66) they set about a partnership of 106 for the second wicket. OMT were struggling to find a way past these two. With 9 wickets in hand in the 17th over and the score on 124, the boys were asked to go for it and risk it. We finished on 136-4, which was a defendable score.

In the field, we had many bowling changes, with Sabarish the pick of the bowlers with 4 overs for 16 runs. Key wickets were taken, however we could not get their top scorer out. Although extras given away was reduced this week we still gave away more than we should. 24 against the 16 OMT gave away. This was also compounded with some moments in the field where we gave away a few runs. We also need to time and watch the ball and ensure we are diving, sliding, using barriers to ensure the ball does not get past. There was also several instances of ball watching rather than chasing after the ball to attempt to prevet a boundary on a slow outfield.

The game was lost at the end of the 19th over, however it was a close finish which we could have won with a bit more tighter fielding and bowling.
