Match report U13 League Northwood 129-7 (20) Harrow 130-2 (13.1)

Having posted what seemed a very competitive total on a bitter April evening, we were blown away by the power of Harrow’s county opener who in conjunction with another Middx player, very rapidly took the game away from us. There were distinct positives though with Kabir Mehrothabhatia excellent with the bat with a perfectly judged 56*. The fielding was definitely improved from last Friday, as was the general encouragement and teamwork in the field. James was also much more proactive as captain. Bowling-wise, there were usually 1-2 bad balls an over which were invariably punished as were some perfectly reasonable deliveries. We won’t often run into as powerful a striker of the ball as the Harrow player and putting our own interests aside, it was good to watch.
