Match report U13 League Northwood 138-3 (20) beat Stanmore 106-7 (20) by 32 runs

We chalked up our first win in Division 1 largely thanks to excellent batting from James Kenny (56 off 57 balls, including his first 6) and Kabir Mehrothabhatia (40 off 22) with support from Charlie Harrison (13) and Ben Sargeant (11*). In the field, Stanmore never got going and the main challenge was to get the 20 overs in before darkness descended. We did this through use of slower bowlers for the last 6 or 7 overs. Manav Khindri was outstanding (2-14) with the ball, bowling their 2 star batsmen, with most support from Rahul Chikhliwala (0-14 off his 4). Some of the bowling and fielding would still have been found wanting against stronger opposition, but on the day it was enough to defend 139 comfortably.
