Match report U13 League Northwood 76-9 (18) lost to Bessborough 77-3 (13.2) by 7 wickets

Hopefully this will be our one collective horror story with the bat – 8 out of the 9 wickets were bowled, most without foot movement in near repeats of the previous dismissal. Only Manav (28*) showed the concentration and common sense needed, playing himself in before accelerating as the overs ran out to give us something to bowl to. Bowling was better, with an excellent spell from Ben Sargeant (1-13) and an dynamic single over from Tyler Pearse (2-4). There was a lesson to be learnt from the B’boro openers who placed the ball into gaps for singles while dispatching bad balls.
