Match report U13 Friendly Northwood 96-6 (20) beat Pinner 92-7 (20) by 4 runs

With Jashan Birah captaining Northwood and Ben Sargeant stepping into keep wicket, two well-matched sides produced a good contest in which Northwood were just on top in the final outcome. Early impetus came from Rahul Chikhliwala (24 rtd) with a flurry of fours. After a mid-innings lull, Ben Sargeant (18*) and Rahul Sethi (10*) took us to a competitive total. Rahul Sethi and Jake Clark among those to shine with the ball and in the field. With Cameron producing a double wicket maiden followed by a maiden over by Rahul in the middle of the Pinner innings, they should have been restricted to a lower score, however there where a lot of extras given away (more than there batting total). NCC U13 Charlie Harrison and U10 Ashok played for Pinner. Despite an easy stumping / run out of Charlie, the ball was thrown to the opposite end. Perhaps a mars bar will be in the post to Ben from Charlie :-)
