Match report U13 League Playoff Northwood 121-4 (20) beat Ickenham 92-9 (20) by 29 runs

Northwood started steadily on a tricky wicket against defensive fields, with Rahul (12) and Manav putting on 39 for the first wicket. Manav and Kabir then upped the ante with some excellent positive batting before both departed for well-made 39 and 31 respectively. A strike-filled cameo from James, with 15* off 9 balls took us to a defendable 121

Manav bowled tightly at the start, as did Chris, Rahul, Tyler and Cameron slightly later and Ickenham never really threatened our total. Fielding and attitude slackened in the middle overs, and would have been undoubtedly punished by a stronger side. But things improved towards the end with Jashan taking a very difficult C+B at the third attempt and then running through the lower order to take 4-6 assisted by another excellent catch from Rahul.
