Match report Northwood 121-7 beat Harrow St Marys 109-8 by 12 runs

After a sticky start, it was Ben who played the quality innings of 58, with some fantastic lofted drives off the seamers, exciting the large group of u9 and u10 who were watching the game as part of their cricketing education. After Ben’s departure, we were in danger of not capitalising but sensible and determined batting from Sabarish and Gurman ensured a competitive total. HSM were excellent with the ball in the field.

Gurman and Sab were both miserly and threatening to throttle the start to the HSM innings. This enabled Josh to put in an excellent 4 over stint and put some welcome overs into Jashan’s legs. HSM recovered from their sticky start and needing 43 off 5, the match was in the balance, but with Gurman and Sab to return and Ben and Tyler to come, we won comfortably enough in the end. Kabir looked good with the gloves.
