In an extraordinary turbo-charged start to the game, Hayes’ opening bat came out firing off some huge shots ,making 37 off 14 balls before being bowled by James. Soon after the scoreboard read an unusual 43-3 off 3 overs! Hayes then somewhat self-imploded to the NCC spinners with James taking 4 wickets, and Sab and Charlie M 2 each. Tyler was v. impressive with 2-13 off his 4.

Chasing 99, we always looked like winning but still lost a wicket every few overs to keep Hayes interested. Ben (22) steadied the ship but it was Kabir (41*) who again took the responsibility to get us over the line with some eye-catching shots to secure a relatively comfortable victory with 2 overs remaining.
