Match report Northwood 5th X1 is on a winning streak as they have added one more victory against the table toppers, Pinner 3s at Roxbourne.

Northwood won the toss and chose to field first. Maneesh and Jack opened with a very tight spell and the opposition were 35 at the end of 10 overs. James with his excellent pace and Praveen with his broken fingers continued to control the run rate for the next 10 overs. They were 87-0 for 20 overs. A few dropped catches during mid overs could have controlled the game even further but the team kept their heads high and continued to be positive. With scorching sun testing the team's endurance, Saurabh and Rahul demonstrated their all-rounder skills in final overs, and wickets started falling from 25th over. Saurabh bags 2, Maneesh 1, and the positive fielding gets 3 runouts controlling the score to 167.

It is Northwood's turn to chase, and as always the star openers Saurabh and Dhaval opened with caution and strategy in mind. Dhaval gets off the mark with a boundary and Saurabh hits the opening bowler for 5 fours in a row and sets the tone for the innings. With a run rate of 6 in first 10overs, Northwood's openers were looking very comfortable at the crease. Dhaval hits a couple of furious fours and lost his wicket on a slow ball. After 2 wickets, Mandar held the fort and played a very steady game with Saurabh adding 31 more runs to the table.

Opposition has put pressure and controlled the game by giving away only 23 in middle 10overs(20-30). But Saurabh's 50 raises hope and Northwood needed 53 runs in last 10 overs. Rahul steps in and takes the pressure off with 3 fours before losing his wicket. Northwood needed 7 runs in 2 overs, but Prabhu Suri finishes off with a boundary and gets the fourth consecutive win for Northwood, in style.
